A strange year comes to an end

I likely do not need to explain to you, the reader, that 2025 has been a very strange and unsettling year. It was a year where the news seemed to get progressively worse as each day passed. The indignation and sadness of yesterday seem mild compared to the same emotions today (which will likely continue to escalate in the coming year). Our problems are not solved by the turning of a calendar page, unfortunately.

And so another year comes to an end with photographs from a late December day spent on the road not too far from home - northwest Missouri this time around.
